Soda
One source of caffeine to many teenagers is soda. Soft drinks are popular in the Western culture and is usually accompanied by fast food. Teenagers are one of the largest consumers of soda. According to a study conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about one in four teens in the U.S. drink soft drinks everyday (Chan, 2011). Soft drinks are made of water, sugar, acid and flavoring (Baxamusa, 2010). It contain chemicals such as phosphoric acid, and sugars like fructose and glucose (Wilson, 2011). Soda as a caffeine source can have bad effects to the body.
